Girl, I don’t know what was going on in that BTS comeback trailer.

But I honestly don’t think I mind that.

Well, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t know at all what was going on. I recognized a few themes. The “wow being a celebrity sucks” theme. The “darkness” theme. The “Hey it’s Agust D hitting you with another installment to my new album” theme. Well, throughout my time as being an army, he seems to trope that theme quite a bit.
The video is dark and creepy. A rocker-type, grungy feel to it. I loved the different elements of sounds; there was a different beat almost every 30 seconds it sounded like for me. The aesthetics were pleasing as always; they made sure Suga was in his best uniform. Because he did look good, of course.

This to me was very different from something I’ve seen with BTS. In this new album, which I’ll be sure to review on here, I hope to see more elements of this song in there. For me, Persona was cute, but I didn’t quite understand it. But like I did with Agust D the first time, I wasn’t open to understanding. But since I’m looking at more of BTS’s style, I guess I’ll give it another shot.

Hopefully, the not-understanding-anythingness is a stand in for how fire this new album will be.

ALSO! K-pop friend from Agust D post let me know that I need to listen to ORUL82?. So I’ll make sure I check that out. Will I let you know how it goes? I dunno. Since I have no streaming service for music (is Spotify free for other devices besides tablets?) I’ll make the best of what I’ve got. But I’ll update you with deets if I do.

Album will be released in February.  Map of the Soul: 7 looks bright so far. And not because it starred Yoongi in a trailer all by himself. Well, maybe. (I think I’m Yoongi biased.)
